Culture Building Activities

We provide these activities to help promote the development of school cultures of integrity. Based on your membership level in the Ethical Literacy Learning Community members will be able to access activities related to Ethical Awareness, Values in Action, and Schools of Integrity findings (Authentic Student Input / Cross-Cutting Dimension /Culture of Open Feedback / Driver and Connector / Growth, Not Punishment / Professional Development from the Ranks / Tone at the Top /Trustees as Keepers of the Moral Compass). Curriculum

• Building Decision Skills
  The Building Decision Skills curriculum focuses on the nature of ethics and ethical decision-making. It has been designed for use at the middle- and high-school levels. It is based on Rushworth M. Kidder’s book How Good People Make Tough Choices the Dilemmas of Ethical Living. The curriculum takes students through a series of logical steps so they can learn to independently apply specific decision-making tools to any ethical issue they might encounter. The process works best in a small-group or classroom setting.

• Elementary Decision Skills
  The Elementary Decision Skillscurriculum provides a hands-on, interactive classroom model for teaching ethics in educational settings. Each curriculum guides teachers and students through a practical and conceptual process for making ethical decisions and defining shared values.
