Todd is in his 13th year as Head of School at Kent Denver School, a coed day school of 660 students serving grades 6 through 12 in Colorado. Previously he was Head of The Orme School in Arizona and he has served as a teacher and administrator at The Colorado Springs School and Hawken School in Ohio. He also serves as President of the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS) and teaches business economics to high school seniors and previously taught medical ethics.

Todd earned a Doctorate Degree in educational leadership focusing on private/public partnerships and school culture, an MBA focusing on strategic planning, and a M.Ed. focusing on curriculum development. He has helped to train over 160 new Heads of Schools as a faculty member of the Institute for New Heads run by The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). Todd has advised NAIS and trained school leaders in the areas of strategic school finance, building high performing governing boards, attracting and retaining non-traditional candidates in administration, building an ethical school culture, and strategic leadership in turbulent times.
